Animated paintings on show at the National Museum of Wales

Two short animated films are currently on show in the gallery of the National Museum of Wales. The films were made by young adult carers who worked alongside Gerald Conn of Gritty Realism, to bring paintings in the Gallery’s collection to life, through their own interpretation of the stories behind the paintings.

The making of the films based on paintings by Van Gogh and Berthe Morisot has involved weeks of learning a range of new skills, including digital video effects and drawn animation.
